Episode 106: Megan and Lindsay

Meet Megan. She’s a college student with hopes of joining the navy.
Megan is also pregnant with her first child.
Megan believes that in order to get her life where she wants it she will have to give her baby up for adoption.
Megan has decided to have a closed adoption which means she wont have to meet the adoptive parents.
Unfortunately, Matt her baby’s father is not so happy about giving the baby up.
While going through profiles of potential parents Megan finds a family who are Boston Red Sox fans. Megan really wants her child’s parents to be Red Sox fans.
The only thing Megan requests from her child’s adoptive parents is that they name her Aria.
Megan’s counselor reminds her that if Matt doesn’t sign his papers she will not be able to go through with the adoption.
Megan is worried Matt wont go through with it.
Meet Lindsay. She is a single mother of one child and is pregnant with twins.
Lindsay loves being a mom but she knows she can’t do it on her own with three kids.
These are the adoptive parents Lindsay has chosen for her twins.
Lindsay has decided that she wants a home birth for her twins at their adoptive parents house. Lindsays friends tell her how risky that can be. Will she be able to go through with it?

Megan meets with her counselor to talk to the adoptive parents she’s chosen on the phone.
Megan tells the parents why she thinks they’re the perfect fit, and she hopes that they can move on with the adoption process… on one condition. Will they name their baby Aria?
The parents love the name Aria and it looks like Megan has found the future parents of her baby.
Now they have to call Matt to make sure he’s on board with their plans.
Matt tells Megan he’s on board. But will he change his mind when it’s time to sign the papers?
Megan goes for her ultrasound.
Her mom comes along to support her.
The baby looks to be in perfect health.
The idea of giving up her first grandchild starts to take a toll on Megan’s mom.
Megan hopes her mom will be able to support her when the time comes.
Julie, the adoptive mom of Lindsay’s twins, visits Lindsay for a potluck dinner with some of her friends.
Julie doesn’t like the idea of Lindsay having a home birth because of how risky it is.
Even though she’d rather Lindsay give birth in a hospital, Julie says she’ll be there to support Lindsay.
Lindsay is worried that Julie doesn’t care about her and only cares about the twins.
Megan meets with her counselor to drop off her papers and see if Matt is still on board with her decision.
Megan’s counselor tells her she spoke with Matt and he signed his papers. However, he can still change his mind after the baby is born.
Megan doesn’t know what she’ll do if Matt changes his mind.
Megan starts to have contractions and is rushed to the hospital.
Megan gives birth to her daughter Aria!
Complications arise for Lindsay during her home birth.
The twins, however, are delivered safely!
Lindsay’s twins are now with their adoptive parents.
Lindsay gives her twins a final goodbye and knows her children will be loved and taken care of.
Megan is starting to have a change of heart and realizes she may not be able to part ways with her baby.
The idea of leaving Aria brings her to tears.
Megan tells her counselor she has changed her mind and that she can’t go through with the adoption.
She doesn’t know how she’ll be able to tell the parents who were going to adopt Aria.
She decides to write them a letter, hoping they will understand her decision.
Megan and her mom happily take Aria home.
